The Kasaale Deep Borehole Project is one of our flagship Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions. Constructed in partnership with the local community in Kasaale, Magada Sub-county, Namutumba District, the deep borehole was completed on 16 May 2025 and now provides a reliable source of clean water to over 10,000 people.
Access to clean water means children spend more time in school, families save time and money, and the burden of waterborne disease is reduced. The community has been supported with hygiene education and a water-user committee to keep the borehole functional for years to come.
The borehole is the first step, not the last. The continuation phase is fundraising and has two goals:
